Feeble Firsts

Hello. I'm Emily O., and this is my feeble first attempt at a blog.

I have procrastinated on the actual writing by trying to make the entire thing look pretty, under the (probably untrue) assumption that people will actually visit this page. Now I've given up. So without further ado, let the writing begin.

Here are ten things you might like to know about me.

  1. I have OCD, which sometimes causes me to worry about things like the end of the world or whether or not I'm a serial killer.
  2. I work at a grocery store, where I am currently in the business of not getting fired.
  3. I tend to be good at accents (Russian, Scottish, and Bad Cockney tend to be my best).
  4. I have a little sister who bears an uncanny resemblance to Wednesday Addams, a mother who is addicted to Jon Stewart, and a father who plays in a band with likeminded middle-aged rockstar-wannabe men.
  5. I have eaten buffalo intestines.
  6. I go to a women's college, and although this does not mean I am a nun, a prissy rich girl, or a man-hating flannel-wearing lesbian, I will admit to being a liberal feminist.
  7. I hail from Michigan, and thus have a bit of a Midwestern twang.
  8. I have an unhealthy obsession with BBC's Sherlock, and although I will never admit it, I also enjoy watching Dr. Who.
  9. I was bald until age three.
  10. I take myself too seriously.
And I suppose that's all you need to know for the time being. Thank you for reading this far. I do appreciate it. More posts will come when I feel inspired.
